That’s right! Were back up and running after this hiatus. Don’t worry though this downtime hasn’t been completely wasted. We at Vana’diel Profiles have been busy planning great new changes for you, not only with your favourite community site but also that of Level Down.

At  Vana’diel Profiles we have been coming up with ideas to make this community thrive again. We are going to be setting out to give you a lot more news information regarding not only VP, LD and PoL news but news of FFXI across the board. However we know that we don’t have all the information across the world so our front page news section is going to be editable by a large range of people, if you wish to edit the front page from time to time feel free to email vpadmin@vanadielprofiles.com , there is no obligation to write anything, but if you have some interesting facts you think the people should know, we want to know! Whether it be a FFXI event near you, you’ve seen an article on a new way to beat Pandemonium Warden or a live event you want the adventurers out there to get involved in.

Ok I mentioned it, Level Down is back, how is that you ask, what happened to your hosts, I’m sure they have disappeared. This is true, as some of you may be aware Level Down is down from 4 hosts to 1, Teila and Duel have gone off to be a part of the PFA crew and Kixxi, well let’s not say what happened to Kixxi, as it is too disturbing to mention. Well let’s just say it involved a Galka and it not looking where it was sitting, not a pretty image. So our one remaining founder and host of Level Down, Sesh, has been scouring the globe for adventurers who could possibly fill the gap. So Introducing, fresh off of the Immortal, a female replacement for Teila, Mattr, o come on he is a dancer look at him in his frills. The lovely, gorgeous Neve, wait is that Dark Knight dancing, now that’s some stamina, no wonder Sesh likes her so. Finally the grand finale of hosts the great the wonderful, the amazing, the, ok, ok I don’t know who the final host is, I have never met him, how am I supposed to do an introduction of someone I don’t know, come on. So be sure to check out our new episodes at vanadielprofiles.com/leveldown, or follow on itunes and now even youtube, a recording on youtube, your guess is as good as mine.

I know all of you out there were tired of our monthly downtime, and to be honest so were we, so we said scrap it, we don’t need it, and you defiantly don’t need it, although we will not be keeping up regular Vana’diel Times and Who’s Who, they will be appearing from time to time rather than monthly, to make up for this we have made sure we will keep our poll’s up to date, 1 poll a month is our goal, so you best keep up. Weekly hints and tips, whether you be a veteran or a brand new adventurer you will find yourself with some great ideas you may not have thought of.

I know what you’re thinking, this may be a lot of information for me to keep up with while im doing my daily adventuring. Do not fear, cause we will be reviving the newsletter and keeping it going out regularly, giving you the great information you may have missed in the news,  our hints and tips, forum threads that should be visited, poll results and more.

There is an issue though with all these new changes something happened to our database, we think goblins got into our design studio and stole some hard drives, if you see any being sold out there let us know, damn Greedalox. However we don’t think that likely, so we require all our old viewers to reregister to our site, to get access to chat in our forums, create a profile and perhaps give us some news.

Our beloved profiles have a whole new facelift, that’s right your profiles will now be able to interact that much better with our new  facebook interface, and will be able to link with your own facebook account. Don’t fret though if you don’t have a facebook account, it is not required to get access to all the new features.

The results are in, that's right the JPButton 2009 Player survey results have now been published, Elmer and Corinth have really done a great job compiling a list of questions and answers, so make sure you check it out at www.jpbutton.com, you might learn something.

Last month also saw a great step for the podcasts of Vana'diel, The Podcast Tour, that's right if you've yet to listen to these, go check out our friends over at Limit Break Radio, He Says She Says and Pet Food Alpha as they chat to Matt Hilton and Robert Peeler from the US Community team.

We also have some intriguing news about LBR, well in the sense that we heard there is intriguing news as Aniero leaves us in suspense that there will be drastic changes over at LBR, what will it be, Gamer actually showing up to all the shows, Davy Jones decides to speak sense or perhaps Kallo was arrested and Sahl accidentally lit him alight with a flare when breaking him out. Stay tuned and check out the LBR forums, www.limitbreakradio.com for further development.

This is it, finally SE has revealed the long awaited information on the next gen MMO codenamed “Rapture”, and its name Final Fantasy XIV. Some

of you might find this surprising , some of you might not, but yes it is a “Final Fantasy”, once again they have kept with the naming convention and made it XIV online. What is remarkable is how much they have managed to keep secret, so much so the planned release date is next year, 2010. The in game characters look very familiar, this was intentional as Tanaka says during the Square-Enix live blog, he wanted the people of Vana’diel to feel at home, and have a character resembling that of their one in final Fantasy XI.

What does this mean for our Beloved FFXI, with 2 new chapters in Add-Ons, and the continuation of WoTG. Although during the conference the team expressed that there is still at least a year of continued development of FFXI and that he hopes that one day you will play FFXI and the next FFXIV. Only time will tell.
